My practice is multidisciplinary, spanning sound, painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, and installation.

It is grounded in an ongoing investigation into the effects of noise pollution on natural systems, with a particular focus on birdsong. Through sound, I explore the stark contrasts between urban environments and national parklands—contrasts that also shape and inform my visual work.

My painting practice reflects the colour, beauty, and fragility of these environments, while also acknowledging the damage they endure. In recent months, my focus has shifted toward capturing the green aura of the parklands I have immersed myself in over the past eight years. These works draw together memory and imagination, forming an idealised vision of the forest—one that can be seen but not truly heard. While my research reveals that natural soundscapes are increasingly disrupted by human noise, my visual practice seeks to restore a sense of calm and refuge. The paintings embody a longing for escape, offering a space where the forest remains intact, alive, and quietly resonant in ways the ear can no longer fully experience.
